Artist talk: Morfema

A conversation with Yevhen Svishchov and Nataliia Radchuk, photographers and founders of Morfema in Kyiv, a space that combines a darkroom and a tea room. They will talk about:

• their first darkrooms and how Morfema started
• how they looked for their own language in analogue photography
• how the photographic process can become a metaphor or a part of the statement in its own right
• lith printing: its principles, quirks and the very “flaws” it is loved for

The event has two parts: the artist talk at the gallery at 17:00, then at 19:00 an intimate tea session at the darkroom at 35 Virmenska Street.
