Fotosushka: Self-Portrait

In photography, a self-portrait can be both a means of self-discovery and a comment on society. For decades, Vivian Maier photographed her reflection in shop windows and her own shadow on the pavement. In Untitled Film Stills, Cindy Sherman posed as invented heroines to show how cinema and the media shape images of women.

This time we invite you to show how you see the world through an image of yourself.

Fotosushka is a one-day show of analogue photographs, hand-printed by the photographers who took them. Each participant will show one print of up to 30×40 cm; digital prints are not accepted. Visitors will be able to talk to the photographers and swap or buy prints. If you don't have a print yet, you can make one in our darkroom.

Anyone can take part, whatever their experience. Admission is free.
