Fotosushka: Landscape

Fotosushka is a one-day show of analogue photographs that the photographers have printed themselves. Anyone can show their work, whatever their experience. The idea is for photographers to meet one another and for visitors to start or add to their own collections: prints can be swapped or bought on the spot.

The theme of the first Fotosushka is landscape. The oldest surviving camera photograph is a landscape too: View from the Window at Le Gras, made by Nicéphore Niépce in 1826–27 on a pewter plate coated with bitumen. A landscape cannot be staged: the photographer works with what is already there and chooses only the viewpoint, the light, the weather and the time of day.

Each photographer will show one work: an analogue photograph, printed by hand, up to 30×40 cm. Digital prints are not accepted. If you don't have a print yet, you can make one in our darkroom.

Admission is free.
