Street photography records everyday life in public places: how people behave and how they interact with each other and with the city. Nothing is staged; what matters is the spontaneous moment, and the architecture and the street give it context. Such pictures often become social commentary as well.

Henri Cartier-Bresson called this “the decisive moment”. His Madrid photograph of 1933 is on the poster for this Fotosushka.

Fotosushka is a one-day show of analogue photographs, hand-printed by the photographers who took them. Each participant will show one print of up to 30×40 cm; digital prints are not accepted. Visitors will be able to talk to the photographers and swap or buy prints. If you don't have a print yet, you can make one in our darkroom.

Anyone can take part, whatever their experience. Admission is free.
