Screening: An Impossible Project

An Impossible Project is the documentary story of a man who decided to save something that seemed lost for good: the last Polaroid factory in the world. Florian “Doc” Kaps, a former scientist, bet on analogue with no guarantees.

It is a film about trying to keep the physical image alive in the digital age, about wanting an object and not just a picture. It was shot entirely on Kodak 35 mm film, and a 40-piece jazz orchestra recorded the soundtrack live straight to vinyl. Production took six years after a Kickstarter campaign. Directed by Jens Meurer.

We will talk about the film afterwards. It is in English with Ukrainian subtitles.
