Ambrotype workshop with Stanislav Ostrous

Ambrotype is a slow, honest, almost meditative 19th-century photographic process: the image appears on a glass plate and allows no repeats and no editing.

Stanislav Ostrous used this technique to photograph soldiers of the 16th Army Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for his exhibition 7 Seconds. At the workshop he will explain and demonstrate how the work was made, and you will make your own photograph on a glass plate and learn the technical details of the process.

The workshop and exhibition are part of the Golden Frame Audiovisual Art Festival, organised by the Faculty of Audiovisual Art of the Kharkiv State Academy of Culture.
