Countless photographers shoot young people today. But where are our grandparents? Older people used to be the ones we turned to for advice; now society values youth so much that the elderly simply disappear from the frame.
If no one makes these portraits, families are left with a few random phone pictures, poor in quality or likely to be lost to digital decay.
So we are holding another photo day, Portrait of a Loved One. Yulia Reivakh will photograph you and your family on black-and-white film, develop it by hand and print the portraits in the darkroom, directly from film onto photographic paper.
