Launch of the first issue of 525 magazine

525 explores contemporary Ukrainian photography and its place in world visual culture. The first issue, Glass and Steel, deals with the experience of trauma, loss and hope that is shaping the next generation in Ukraine.

The issue features personal projects by Viktoriia Tymonova, Masha Veisberg, Olesia Saienko, Ania Tsaruk and Yuliia Shybyrkina, as well as digital sculptures by Yuliia Bieliaieva made with 3D scanning.

The magazine has sections for talking about photography and contemporary visual culture: Fragment, Focus, Touch and Conversation.

Serhii Melnychenko @sergey_melnitchenko, founder of MYPH, a platform for conceptual and art photography, will talk with the team about how the magazine was made, and copies of 525 will be on sale.
