ROTLICHT is an international festival of analogue photography in Vienna. It aims to give contemporary analogue work a platform, support young artists and build connections between analogue photographers across Europe. Every year the festival runs an open call.

This year ROTLICHT takes place for the fifth time, from 21 to 30 November, under the title LIFE AFTER EXTINCTION?: more than 30 exhibitions, over 20 workshops, talks, walks and parties all over Vienna. Ukrainian photographers have taken part more than once, among them Katia Motylova, Dmytro Kuprian, Artem Humilevskyi and Yura Holik.

Michael Laubsch, the festival’s co-director, will talk about its history and concept and about opportunities for photographers from Ukraine. It is a chance to understand how European festivals work and to ask questions directly. The conversation is in English.
