Dmytro Krasnyi, Ivan Viliamov, Nataliia Filatova

September 7, 2024 - October 11, 2024

The first exhibition at Berliner Strasse Gallery. Curated by Oleksandr Hor.

Nataliia Filatova works with instant cameras (Polaroid and Instax) and alternative printing processes.

This series was inspired by Sengai Gibon, an artist and Japanese Buddhist monk of the Rinzai school. I decided not only to visualise my reading of his painting “Circle, Triangle and Square” with instant pictures, but to literally live it.

Dmytro Krasnyi works in graphics and mixed media. For him, porcelain and analogue photography are media tied to memory and to the possibility of turning memories into objects.

The oldest material thing that has survived in my parents’ house is a photograph of my great-grandparents from the 1920s–30s. And the porcelain figurines are among the things my mother brought from her parents’ home when she moved in with my father after they married.

Ivan Viliamov is a photographer and darkroom printer; he was responsible for the technical realisation and hand printing of the works.
