“525” by MYPH

“525” is a bilingual magazine by MYPH (Mykolaiv School of Conceptual and Art Photography) about contemporary Ukrainian photography and its place in world visual culture. The first issue, “Glass and Steel”, collects texts and images that try to understand and record the experience of trauma, loss and hope that shapes the current generation in Ukraine. It combines translations of key texts on visual culture, selections of work by Ukrainian photographers, projects, research into the history of Ukrainian photography, interviews and conversations about current issues. “525” is meant as a space for dialogue: between generations, between practitioners and theorists, between the Ukrainian scene and an international audience.
